How long does it take to get from Waikiki to University of Hawaii at Manoa by bus?

I’ve heard there is a major bus terminal at a shopping area in Waikiki. How long would it take from there to campus? I’m considering living in Waikiki when I go to UH.
D., I’m going to be going there for graduate school. I haven’t been accepted yet, but hoping to get into the Japan-Focused MBA Program.

I go to UH too! what are you gonna take?
Well, even though i live very far I can tell you that waikiki is not that far from UH. A lot of people ride bikes and scooters because of the parking problem at campus.. and since we pretty much have nice weather all year, that’s definitely a good idea. You can also take the bus but I think it would take just as long as if you were riding the bike. I’d say 30 minutes (maximum) either way…

from waikiki to UHM it’s only a few miles and should only take about 20 min. depending on how many stops the bus has to make. however, my problem when i had to take the bus back and forth between UHM and waikiki was waiting for the bus to come. for whatever reason i always had to wait at least 15 mins. for the bus to come. it wasn’t so bad going from campus to waikiki, but there was always a long wait in waikiki. this could have been because of construction on the streets though, i really don’t know.
