Has anyone taken vacations trips by themselves?
Pimpcash asked:
I’m so burned out from work and online school that I’m taking a trip to Waikiki, Hawaii next month for some relaxation. I’m going by myself since my family members are too busy to go and my friends are too broke to come along. You think I might get bored there by myself??

Had faced the same situation a couple of years ago. It can be fun provided you find the right company at the destination. Traveling alone can be fun and you can always make new friends there…
Enjoy

oh no. just ask where a good bar is. you would be amazed at the conversations you can strike up with the locals. they can give you the best hints on where to go and what to see. you might even get a vacation affair out of the deal.

If you get bored, you can always strike up a friendship with somebody else…traveling alone is great, although sometimes awkward (table for one at restaurants–never fun) and always more expensive. BUT, well worth it, I say, if you need time to get away from everything.

Not really unless your main reason is to relax. That’s great. You are going to hawaii. Nice place. I’ve never been there before. You won’t feel bored ok?

Waikiki
For once in your life, pamper yourself. You need to, so that you don’t suffer from a breakdown.
Hire a limousine with a driver. He will take you around the island to see strange or interesting sights. If you like beaches and sea-shells, and orchids (like phalaenopses and vandas), pineapples and poi, hula-hula and history.
If Waikiki runs out of things to do, get a domestic flight to another island like Maui. Go up Haleakala and see the sunrise (at subzero temperatures — bring hot coffee in a flask). Look out for nene, or Hawaiian wild geese. See the silversword plant. Only place in the world to get it. See if you can find sandalwood trees, macadamia nuts, passion fruits.
OoooOOOooo! I love Hawaii! If you like many things, you may not care to have no-one to share it with. The limousine driver would do.

The last time I took a solo vacation I went to Maui for two weeks; I ended up staying for 5 years, why I came back? I still ask myself that same question every day. As for getting bored; totally imposable…..highly recommended Have a great trip……Aloha….!!!!!!
